Jacking System Verification Services for ADNOC Offshore (UAE)

Project description
In 2023 ALMAEER was awarded a 3-year contract by ADNOC Offshore to provide Jacking System Verification Services for more than 70 ADNOC Offshore Jack-up Rigs & Barges operating across the UAE offshore sector.

Jacking Systems are identified by ADNOC as a critical equipment system on offshore jack-up units as their reliability directly affect the safety and operational integrity of offshore operations.
To minimize the risks of failure of the physical assets, ADNOC has directed ALMAEER to carry out independent verification of the jacking systems on all ADNOC contracted jack up rigs and jack up barges.

Scope of Work and Activities
Jacking System Assurance Audits covered the following scope of work:

• Jacking equipment audit review to OEM and relevant standards indicating gaps where applicable.
• Monitoring of jacking trials, reviewing the functionality of the complete system operationally.
• Acceptance of all components and functionality with written documentation.
• Review recorded preventative maintenance history(s), in-house inspection reports by rig personnel, and 3^rd party survey documentation for the jacking system related equipment and main generators, and indicate gaps where applicable.
• Review operational certification.
• Jacking control system audit to OEM and relevant standards.
• Where required, physically review wear on major components and carry out comparison checks with permissible tolerances using calibrated/certified Vernier and depth gauges.
• Review jacking system life rating calculations and detailed inspection intervals.
• Review competency levels.
