HAZARDOUS AREA INSPECTION

ALMAEER conducts Hazardous Area Inspection (Ex Inspection) to ensure that all explosion-protected (Ex) equipment in hazardous areas is correctly selected, installed, maintained and documented in accordance with the applicable international standards.

Our Hazardous Area Management plan includes the development or verification of a comprehensive Ex equipment register.  Each piece of equipment located within a classified area is identified, inventoried, logged, inspected, tagged and verified for compliance.

A detailed Inspection Test Report (ITR) is generated for every inspected item, documenting equipment specifications, protection method, inspection grade and compliance status.  

During Hazardous Areas Survey our inspectors assess key elements required by international standards and Class surveyor, including:

  • Area Classification and Zoning verification.
  • Correct Installation and Maintenance of a Specific Electrical Component.
  • Ignition Identification and Protection.
  • Atmospheres Regulations.
  • Verification of Certification.

ALMAEER also provides CompEx Surveys conducted by CompEx-certified specialists to carry out detailed and visual inspection for the rig’s Ex Register.
