RIG INSPECTION SERVICES

Almaeer Drilling Rig Inspection and Auditing services provide a comprehensive insight into the overall condition of the rig and its equipment, helping to prevent costly system failures and operational downtime.

Our objective is to deliver a thorough reliability assessment and provide accurate information regarding the rig’s maintenance status and operational condition through detailed evaluation of critical equipment and systems. This ensures that all equipment is verified as fit for purpose and operating in accordance with applicable standards and requirements.

Comprehensive condition assessments not only reduce the risk of unexpected failures, but also identify areas requiring improvement and give a clear indication of the rig’s current operability status.

Our Rig Inspection and Audit Services include:

  • Pre-hire Audits.
  • Rig Condition Surveys.
  • API RP 4G CAT III Inspection and API RP 4G CAT IV Inspection.
  • Pre-purchase Inspection
  • Reactivation / Return-to-service Inspection.
  • Other specific audits in accordance with clients’ requirements.

PRE-HIRE AUDITS
ALMAEER performs Pre-Hire Audits at the request of clients prior to a rig contract award to provide operations.

We ensure that the rig complies with the required industry standards, local and international, and any additional requirements of the client.  ALMAEER assess the readiness of the rig, including the condition of critical equipment and systems; checking and reviewing the rig’s maintenance records and current condition of the rig to evaluate its reliability. Our competent and highly qualified inspectors also ensure that the rig meets the necessary safety and operational standards, and that any potential safety hazards, which could jeopardize personnel or operations, are identified.

RIG CONDITION SURVEY
ALMAEER’s aim in conducting Rig Condition Surveys is to assure our clients that their rigs comply with the required industry standards and remain fit for purpose. We provide an in-depth inspection of the condition of the rig, and also a performance review of the critical equipment, to verify that the systems are in place for the rig to perform safely and efficiently.

Our inspectors cover inspection and review for the following equipment and systems:

  • Mast and Substructure.
  • Drawworks and Associated Equipment.
  • Hoisting Equipment.
  • Rotary System.
  • Rig Power Plant.
  • Drill String.
  • Handling Tools.
  • Fishing Equipment.
  • Well Control Equipment (BOP Stack, BOP Control System, Choke Manifold & Testing Equipment).
  • Mud System.
  • Casing/Cementing.
  • Drilling Instrumentation.
  • Rig Communication System.
  • Production Test Equipment.
  • Rod Equipment.
