THERMOGRAPHIC INSPECTION

ALMAEER performs Infrared Electrical Inspections (Thermographic Inspection) to detect abnormal heat signatures in electrical installations, enabling early identification of potential failures before they result in equipment breakdowns, fire hazard or operational incidents.   

Thermographic Surveys support predictive maintenance by identifying loose connections, overload circuits, phase imbalance, insulation degradation and mechanical friction hotspots.

Thermographic Inspections can be either incorporated into the Rig Condition Survey or carried out as a stand-alone inspection, in accordance with applicable international standards and best practices. 

A complete Thermographic Inspection with a fully certified imaging unit, covers the following areas:

  • VFD System and complete Power Management areas.
  • All machinery covering Prime Movers and Mud System.
  • Emergency Generator and power facilities.
  • Drill Floor and rig systems.
  • Drilling equipment covering all systems.
  • Jacking Systems covering VFDs and structural components covering Cantilever areas.

A detailed report is issued including thermal images, temperature differentials, severity classification, and recommended corrective actions.
