JACKING SYSTEM AUDITS

The Jacking System Audit / Jacking System Health Check provides an independent technical evaluation of the jacking system installed on jack-up rigs, barges and platforms, to mitigate the risk of structural, mechanical or control system failure.

The audit verifies that operational practices, maintenance programs and certification status are aligned with OEM requirements, Class rules and recognized industry standards.   

During Jacking System Inspections our competent and extremely experienced inspectors cover the following scope:

  • Jacking equipment audit review to OEM and relevant standards, indicating gaps where applicable.
  • Monitoring of Jacking Trials, reviewing the functionality of the complete system, operationally.
  • Acceptance of all components and functionality with written documentation.
  • Review recorded preventative maintenance history(s), in-house inspection reports by rig personnel, and 3rd party survey documentation for the jacking system related equipment and main generators, and indicate gaps where applicable.
  • Review operational certification.
  • Jacking Control System audit to OEM and relevant standards.
  • Where required, physically review wear on major components and carry out comparison checks with permissible tolerances using calibrated/certified Vernier and depth gauges.
  • Review jacking system life rating calculations and detailed inspection intervals.
  • Review competency levels.
