Project description
In early 2025, ALMAEER was awarded a 6-year contract by ADNOC Drilling for the provision of Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) Auditors for their entire fleet of onshore and offshore drilling rigs, encompassing over 140 units, annually.
As part of this contract, ALMAEER is entrusted with conducting independent audits of the Preventive Maintenance Program on all ADNOC drilling rigs to ensure that they are fully compliant with industry best practices and fully adhere to ADNOC procedures, policies, and OEM recommendations. This involves auditing of Preventive Maintenance System work order fulfilment for major drilling equipment, marine systems, critical safety system equipment etc.
Scope of Work and Activities
The Preventive Maintenance Audit covers the following areas and key activities:
- Equipment Maintenance History.
- Maintenance Records.
- Equipment Condition Assessment.
- Equipment Operational Status.
- Technician Competency.
- Spare Parts Availability.
- Review the PM Work Orders and Asset Register.
- Inspect the general condition of the Drilling rig equipment and appraise the maintenance status.
- Interview the rig maintenance and drilling crew personnel with respect to the assigned PMS work orders where competency of personnel, knowledge, training, and experience is assessed.
- Review all historical PMS equipment work order records selected for the audit.
- Evaluate the PMS equipment asset records selected for the audit.
- Review the critical spares kept onboard for drilling and critical equipment and confirm the availability to limit rig Non-Productive Time (NPT).
- Evaluate the performance of each rig department with respect to the PMS work order tasks.
