Project description
Dynamic Drilling and Services PLC have requested ALMAEER to provide Shipyard refurbishment project evaluation audit for their rig Divine Driller (Marathon Le Tourneau Class 116-C) located in the ASRY shipyard in Bahrain.

The objective of the audit was to review the ongoing refurbishment campaign, assess the quality and progress of shipyard work and evaluate the rig readiness for the next phase of operations following completion of the refurbishment program.

Scope of Work and Activities
The rig inspection audit included the following requirements: 
 
• Review of ongoing shipyard refurbishment work including the new drilling derrick installation. 
• Review electrical components reinstalled during shipyard campaign.
• Gap analysis for the MODU code upgrade, reviewing compliance transition from 1979 MODE code to 1989 MODU code.
• Review of structural refurbishment work, including plate renewal and pipe repair.
• Review forward refurbishment and commissioning plan.

Project Outcome
The audit provided the client with an independent technical assessment of the refurbishment campaign, identifying potential gap and confirming the progress and the quality of the shipyard works.
